At Little Mead Primary Academy, we aim to give pupils a solid foundation and broad experience of 'designing', 'making' and 'evaluating' through a variety of media and materials. 

At Little Mead Primary Academy we use the Kapow scheme of work to deliver DT from EYFS - Year 6.

Our DT curriculum will prepare children to take an active part in the development of today's rapidly changing world. We will inspire them to be inventive problem solvers, effective team members and reflective evaluators. Our pupils are taught to acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and draw on disciplines such as maths, science, engineering, computing and art. We will provide them with opportunities to develop practical skills for life and above all, develop their aspirations to become the designers, innovators and technologists of the future.
