Geography

At Little Mead Primary Academy, we are passionate about developing curious geographers who have a broad knowledge base to draw from and who are equipped with the investigative skills needed to find out more.

We provide a high quality geography education that inspires in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. The curriculum has been planned as a Trust from EYFS to Year 6 to equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the earth's key physical and human processes. To ensure lessons are as practical and engaging as possible, we immerse children in units of work which support their place and locational knowledge, a range of natural and physical features and develop their field work skills.

Each year children revisit and enhance their learning, applying taught knowledge and skills to help explain how the earth's features are shaped, interconnected and change over time.
