Place of work: Initially based at Little Mead Primary Academy. However, all appointments are made to the Trust centrally
Contract: Fixed term – linked to funding for a pupil currently in Year 3

The Successful Candidate
Little Mead Primary Academy is looking to appoint a creative, nurturing and flexible individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
This new role has been created to support the personal, social and emotional development of a small group within a number of classes. The successful applicant will run small group interventions whilst liaising with the class teachers regarding their allocated pupils.
Your daily routine will involve:
- Working across a range of year groups, specifically with children with additional needs.
- Supporting over lunchtime, encouraging healthy eating and positive play.
- Working 1-to-1 with children to enable them to access all areas of the curriculum.
- Carrying out intimate care as necessary.
- Working alongside parents and a range of professionals on a regular basis.
While this role is not specifically a teaching post, there will be elements of supporting children with their work as provided by their teacher. Accordingly, there is no requirement for a teaching and learning qualification, but within the education or social care sectors is desirable.
