29/01/18 - Year 5/6 Football League
On Monday 29th January seven of our Year 5/6 children represented the school in the regular Football league that we attend at St.Bede’s. They played numerous different schools this time round and were pushed to play some hard fought matches. The team showed excellent determination throughout all of the games and played well as a team. A particular mention to Sonny for his impressive defending and reliability at the back.

15/01/18 - Year 6 Dodgeball Tournament
On Monday 15th January, six of our Year 6 children represented the school at the North Bristol Dodgeball Tournament held at St. Bede’s Catholic College. They all performed excellently and finished a credible 4th position out of the 9 schools that took part. What was most impressive was their ability to work as a team and develop the own tactics as the games progressed. Well done to all of them!

22/11/17 - North Bristol Sportshall Athletics Competition
On Wednesday 22nd November, we took eighteen children (9 girls, 9 boys) to St. Bede’s Catholic College to take part in the Year 5/6 North Bristol Sportshall Athletics Competition. Each child had to compete in two track events and two field events against children from various schools in North Bristol. All of them did such an excellent job supporting each other and trying their best on every event they were asked to compete in. And because of this, as a team, we actually managed to finish joint second in the event. On top of this, there were some outstanding individual performances from lots of children who won their individual events, including ending the evening with the boys winning the 4x1 sprint relay. What a brilliant evening of Athletics!!
Girls’ Team: Lily, Maisie, Zuzanna, Lily-Jay, Imogen, Isatou, Lacey, Amelia, Isabelle
Boys’ Team: Ronnie, Reece, Daniel, Alfie, Dawa, Riley, Jacob, Abel, Keon
07/11/17 - Year 5/6 Football League
On Monday 6th November, we took eight children to St Bede’s Catholic College to play in the annual Year 5/6 North Bristol Football League. Last year the boys did a great job to win the Championship league and get promoted into the Premiership, meaning this year was going to provide them with much harder competition. In the first game we struggled to find our rhythm and balance to the team, and although it was close, we ended up losing the match. However, the boys did fantastically well to turn this around and win the next two games in a much more assured and confident fashion. Whilst all the team played excellently, a few particular mentions go to Riley, who leaded the team throughout, Finley with some excellent reaction saves and Jacob for always looking to pass the ball when he received it. Hopefully we can keep up these performances for the next fixtures in the league. Well done all!
Team: Harry, Riley, Shitta, Riley, Corry, Jacob, Finley, Dawa

On Thursday 2nd November we took nine Year 3/4 children and ten Year 5/6 children to Fonthill Primary School to play in some friendly Football matches. Both teams played some fabulous Football and ended up winning both of the games that were played. Their Sportsmanship and attitude was excellent throughout and all the children should be thoroughly pleased with their performances.

23/10/17- Year 3/4 Football Competition
On Monday 16th October we took ten year 3/4 children to take part in the North Bristol Football Competition held at St Bede’s Catholic College. For most of them, it was the first time that they had represented the school at a sports competition and they did an excellent job. There was some brilliant sportsmanship on display and some excellent Football. A particular mention goes to our goal scorer’s Ben and Jayden, and to Finley for some exceptional goalkeeping and reaction saves throughout. The team voted for Ben as the player of the match. Well done to everyone that played!
